
1. Change “Memory (RAM)” to “8192” MB
2. Change “CPUs” to “8”
3. Click “Forward”
4. On “Step 4 of 5”
1. Select “Select managed or other existing storage” and browse out to the logical
volume you created lv_satellite
2. Click “Forward”
5. On “Step 5 of 5”
1. Click “Finish”
3. Click the “Open” button on the top navigation pane to open a console to the virtual
machine and perform the install using the following guidelines:
• SELinux should be disabled
Deploy Satellite Software
Target System: sat-vm
1. After the virtual machine is installed, get the satellite server software from the software
repository that was set up earlier
1. Update the system
# yum update
2. Install satellite server

2. Synchronize the channels (This may take a while) See Table 7: Red Hat Network
