Figure 12 illustrates the effect of scaling out the number of Red Hat Storage Server nodes and clients on random reads. The

test used record size of 1024KB. The random read throughput does not increase appreciably with an increased number of

threads in a 2-node configuration. Both in the 3-node and 4-node configurations, the random read throughput increases as

the number of threads are increased from 8 (1 client) to 32 (4 clients). The read throughput in the 3-node and 4-node

configurations are quite comparable.
