N/A In the Agent settings section of the K1000 Administrator Guide, the description of
the Disable duplicate device detection option is incorrect. When the option is
selected, duplicate device detection is disabled, and Agents do not receive
requests to generate new IDs for devices and reconnect. Do not select this
option unless you have discussed the ramifications with Dell KACE Technical
Support.

Localized versions of the documentation (online Help and PDFs) do not include
the following updates:
• The following website must be accessible to the appliance:
https://servicecdn.kace.com.
• The following information about ports that must be accessible to the
appliance has changed:
• Ports 20 and 21 (inbound to the appliance) are used to access
backup files on the appliance through FTP from outside the firewall.
These ports are optional and not recommended.
• Port 22 (outbound from the appliance) is used to create an SSH
tunnel to kace.com.
• Port 23 is not used.
• Ports 8080 and 8443 are no longer required for reporting.
• On the Patch Schedule Detail page, the Run on next connection if
offline is available. This option runs the action the next time the
managed device connects to the appliance, if the device is currently
offline. If the option is not selected, and the device is offline, the action
does not run again until the next scheduled time.
• In the Managed Installations section, the following information was
clarified: The appliance uses a Replication Share before it uses the
KACE Alt Location.
• In the Configure Agent Settings procedure, Enable SSL is a read-only
field. Agent SSL settings are controlled by the appliance security
settings.
