About This Guide

Note: SGI Performance Suite 1.0 software requires the SGI Foundation Software 2.2

This guide provides information about the SGI Performance Suite 1.0 release. It is

divided into the following chapters:

• Chapter 1, “Release Features,” describes the major features of this release, the CD

contents, SGI Open Source software, SGI system controller software, and

documentation information.

• Chapter 2, “Software Installation,” describes the ﬂowcharts of disk partitions and

ﬁle conﬁgurations and layouts that you need to get started and provides

instructions for installing SGI Performance Suite software.

• Chapter 3, “SGI Peformance Suite Products Overview,” documents the product

components that are supported on SGI Altix systems.

Onlineversionsofthis document,the releasenotes, whichcontain the latestinformation

about software and documentation in this release, the list of RPMs distributed with SGI
