Uploading the SAP R/3 Cofiles and
Datafiles
Before you can use the password change functionality, you must transport the
necessary ABAPs to the target SAP R/3 system. To install the
ABAPs, copy the
supplied files to the appropriate directories and start the TP utility. This
procedure should only be performed by your SAP R/3 system administrator.
1. Copy the files for your SAP R/3 version from
$GO_ROOT/setup/GoSAPR3/ABAP to the appropriate trans
sub-directories of your SAP R/3 Server.
2. Copy the cofile to the cofiles sub-directory (e.g., /usr/sap/trans/cofiles)
and the datafile to the data sub-directory (e.g., /usr/sap/trans/data).
3. As the SAP R/3 system administrator user, change to the trans/bin
directory and run the following commands:
where:
tr is the filename of the cofile with source SAP system ID prefix (eg
R31K900199 for SAP R/3 version 6.4)
sapsid is the SAP system ID of the target SAP R/3 system (eg NW4)
nnn is the client ID (eg 000)
pf is the transport parameter file (eg TP_DOMAIN_NW4.PFL)
